Daily pic #62: Shibuya Crossing
The scramble
crossing at the Shibuya Station
Hachiko exit.
Shibuya Station (渋谷駅) is a railway station in Shibuya, one of the Tokyo's special wards, a major fashion center and famous nightlife area.
With over 2.5 million passengers passing through the station every day, this crossing easily trumps the NYC Times Square as the world's busiest pedestrian intersection.
The best place to watch the endless flow of people crossing in all directions is from the 2nd floor of the famous Starbucks store overlooking the intersection, which is considered the busiest branch in the world. If you like cream puffs, I would strongly recommend getting a bunch from a nearby Beard Papa's outlet before ordering the coffee.
