Daily pic #34: Swiss guards
The Pontifical Swiss Guards
of the Holy See in the official dress uniforms. The Swiss Guard is
the de facto military force of Vatican City and the oldest (over 500
years) standing active military unit.
There are about 135 men in the force, all - single Catholic Swiss
males, not shorter than 174 cm.
Note the notepad in the hand of the guardsman on the left. I guess it would take them another hundred years to replace those pads with iPad C (that would be Centum in Latin).
