Daily pic #4: La Seine la nuit (The Seine at night)
A night view of the
Pont Alexandre III
and the
Eiffel Tower
taken from
Pont de la Concorde.
The time is almost 1 am, minutes before the lights on the Eiffel Tower
go off for the night.
The French by the way, have managed to copyright the tower's illumination, so technically I am breaking the law here, making this picture public.
To get a reasonably good quality I had to use a tripod, setting the exposure to 2.5 sec @ ISO 100, f2.8. This long exposure of course brought out some hot (stuck) pixels on the sensor, which I had to remove in post.
I wonder how the astronomers tell apart real stars from the stuck pixels? I actually know the answer, but want you to think about it for a minute.
